FRUITKEY October 24 - November 17, 2003 Jason Glasser Jason Glasser's exhibition at Parker's Box included a large wall-painting and a "symphony" of video works, as well as a series of reverse paintings on auto-glass. In these works there are many animals as well hunters with spears and hunters with guns, and a number of "beings" that are more difficult to describe- often oval or round, and with faces or eyes, some smiling, some not. The works draw us into a narrative that remains intriguing and unexplained, although it almost always manages to give an ominous impression of catastrophe. |
